Welcome to Ready Kids, Ready Schools, a group of projects aimed at strengthening opportunities for early learning and school success for children ages 0 to 8. These projects apply and promote the lessons of effective programs and policies linking early learning with early grades, including strong partnerships, high-quality programs, deep parent and family engagement, and school, teacher and community leadership.

The national forum, Linking Ready Kids to Ready Schools: Building Policy on State and Community Successes, took place March 30-31, 2009 and featured case studies from the early education community. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan gave the keynote address to open the forum.
Ready Kids, Ready Schools, Ready Communities Opportunities Planning Grants are supporting community applications for resources available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
